At home in Prescott, captain and crew all set for the beginning of the voyage.

First, though, a toast to the voyage (thanks, mom, for the champagne! 😄)

Thank you, Debbie Hunter, for the beautiful picture!  Debbie was walking in Freedom Park when she heard the cheers coming from our marina, and thought it might be us starting our voyage!

Our first lock of approximately 26 on the upper Mississippi River.

Krystina wanted me to point out that a crew member must be properly hydrated to do lock duties!

First night's stop: Lake City

So many wonderful friends showed up in Lake City to wish us well; we are truly blessed!

We enjoyed playing Jenga and eating a yummy prime rib dinner at the Lake City Marina Customer Appreciation Day, as well as danced to a very fun band!  The fun continued at the Bank Bar where we enjoyed Steve Bailey's dj-ing for the evening!  What a great start to a wonderful journey!⚓
